The Miu Miu Glitter Shoe Bandwagon

Yeah that's right. Miu Miu again. Where would this blog be without Miuccia eh?
Anyway. I have been slightly obsessed with the glittery banana-heeled shoes of the Fall 2011 show for a long time now, and may or may not have let out a little squeal when I saw them in the flesh in Neiman's the other day. But as always I cannot afford to invest in such a trend-led pair of shoes (I would adore them forever of course, but give it a year and people will be sick of seeing my feet sparkle/cover their carpets in shimmer).

For those of you that can afford the read deal here's my findings from a quick browse earlier today...

3 & 4 are the dream shoes right there! Though 1, 6 & 7 make more practical and versatile choices.

The main reason I began this post, however, is that when I was browsing through Topshop.com this morning with a particular style of ballet flats in mind, my eyes got distracted and excited at the pair below (2) and it only took me seconds to realise that they were a 100% unsubtle take on the Miu Miu collection. I was sorely tempted to buy the little cuties but I think it's too obvious, and I have a real distaste towards 'fakes'. I do slip up occasionally however and incorporating the general trends of the season is rarely something to be frowned upon, so here's some more Miu Miu inspired footwear from the high street...

Miu Miu Campaign Fall '10

I've picked out some of the Miu Miu Fall 2010 campaign shots to share with you all, via FashionGoneRogue.

The campaign features last season's Miu Miu girl, Lindsey Wixson, along with Siri Tollerod, Ginta Lapina and Daphne Groenveld, and shot by Mert & Marcus.

I remember when I was interning at Viva London having to put a 'package' together for them of all the girls that may be suited to this campaign. They request people to send them on a slideshow document with two images per page, and won't take books? Unusual for most, but if it's what they need to make it work then that's what they get. And they worked it...

Christian Dior Couture A/W'10

Wasp-waisted jackets, full skirts and high glamour - a reflection of the classic 1950's designs that made Christian Dior so important and such a celebrated designer. Throw in an explosion of exotic colours, florals and ribbons with high drama hair and make-up and some sex-kitten heels, and you have John Galliano's latest couture collection for Dior. The same old classics and the same old Galliano aesthetics that somehow never get old or boring, in fact they have me leaping off my bed to view the images as soon as I know the latest collection has been put online. It's always nice to see the ever sassy Karlie Kloss opening his shows too. That's loyalty! I picked out some favourites...

I'm in LOVE with the pastel blue mini dress...

Yes, yes I know. I've been rubbish at posting again. Between laptops breaking and problems with saving and uploading pictures and moving house and trying to get a decent enough internet connection, I have been keeping tabs on other blogs and I promise I will keep on top of it now that I'm all sorted technologically... touch wood!

PS. I made it to 100+ followers?! :') thanks guys! x

I'm back!

There have been a major lack of posts I know, it's because I was on holiday in Florida for two weeks.

I'm now back in London town and a little depressed with the lack of palm trees/heat and the general greyness here. I bought Teen Vogue at the airport yesterday, the September issue with Taylor Momsen on the cover. I always enjoy Teen Vogue's fashion shoots but too often their cover stars put me off, probably being that I can't relate to disney stars so much as the likes of Rachel Bilson and the Gossip Girl cast.

The thing I always love about Teen Vogue is that they take fashion seriously but still have fun with it making their features colourful and playful. I think this is what also draws me to UK Glamour, Lula and Material Girl. The prospect of winter fashion is often dull for me, so Teen Vogue was just what I needed to get me excited for winter wardrobe shopping. I was going to dedicate a post to this but after a hunt for winter fashion it seems that summer isnt quite over enough and there isn't a great deal to look at.

Nevertheless, my hunt for the perfect over-knee boots will continue, and as soon as bold scarves and statement coats are on the rails I will be picking out my favourites to share with you all :)

Hope youre all having a good summer! x
