Big Bright Bobbles

OK so I just fell for these ASOS bobble hats completely. Someone's obviously coming to terms with colder temperatures and darker nights, like we have a choice here...

The Miu Miu Glitter Shoe Bandwagon

Yeah that's right. Miu Miu again. Where would this blog be without Miuccia eh?
Anyway. I have been slightly obsessed with the glittery banana-heeled shoes of the Fall 2011 show for a long time now, and may or may not have let out a little squeal when I saw them in the flesh in Neiman's the other day. But as always I cannot afford to invest in such a trend-led pair of shoes (I would adore them forever of course, but give it a year and people will be sick of seeing my feet sparkle/cover their carpets in shimmer).

For those of you that can afford the read deal here's my findings from a quick browse earlier today...

3 & 4 are the dream shoes right there! Though 1, 6 & 7 make more practical and versatile choices.

The main reason I began this post, however, is that when I was browsing through Topshop.com this morning with a particular style of ballet flats in mind, my eyes got distracted and excited at the pair below (2) and it only took me seconds to realise that they were a 100% unsubtle take on the Miu Miu collection. I was sorely tempted to buy the little cuties but I think it's too obvious, and I have a real distaste towards 'fakes'. I do slip up occasionally however and incorporating the general trends of the season is rarely something to be frowned upon, so here's some more Miu Miu inspired footwear from the high street...

More Polyvore sets

Here's some more of the sets I made over the past few days on Polyvore...

I've been meaning to do a post on the above T-Shirt for a while now. I bought it about a month or two ago from Farfetch.com while I was working there. It's by Zoe Karssen, a new cult T-shirt label that has recently launched on Net-a-Porter and ASOS. This particular tee tells the story of my life, hence the hefty investment.

It's Pure & Simple...

I just wrote the blog title, then thinking it rung a bell, Googled it.
God, those were the days... Oh and I'm really cool.

Fashion Flop

I have a bit of a things for glamourously over-sized brims. So in case it wasn't already apparent enough, I thought I'd do a whole post dedicated to floppy hats.

I just ordered one from ASOS, and when it arrived I tried it on straight away, and a few times since, and I just can't get comfortable with the size of the brim in comparison to my head and hair in general.

I even put it on again yesterday and attempted to get a webcam shot to get some opinions on this, but I just looked ridiculous so there will be no pictures for you all to laugh at I'm afraid.
Other people pull them off so well, but it saddens me to say I may have to return this one and keep searching for another perfect shape.

Christopher Kane/ASOS

ASOS have done a great quality copy of this Christopher Kane dress that Emma Watson has been pictured wearing.

At only £45 it's an absolute bargain - a great investment for the party season, and in this nude colour it can be carried through to Spring.

A Rachel Bilson dedicated post

I decided randomly to trawl through Rachel Bilson posts on Celebrity-Gossip.net for some style inspiration, and gathered a ton of images. Then I thought 'I'll go onto ASOS and see if they have anything "in the style of Rachel Bilson"'. Greeted by the homepage with a large image of Rachel, I thought 'oh how funny this model looks SO much like her', then realised it was her... Ooops!
She's featured in the new ASOS magazine which you can view and read online here.
I'm glad she's coming back onto the radar again - I've missed her cute little face! And I've been dying to see New York, I Love You since I first heard about it a couple of years ago, but there's still no UK release date. So upsetting.
Enjoy my mini shrine anyway...

Christmas Gift Guide '09

It's officially one month until Christmas now, so if you haven't thought about what to buy for the girls in your life - or anyone for that matter - it's probably about time.

I've completed most of my shopping now but there's always the last few bits I get completely stumped on - The parents.

They never seem to want anything, and if they do they will usually buy it for themselves by the time Christmas comes around. Living away from home doesn't make this any easier...

I do love buying gifts for people however, and I've compiled a few little fail safe treats that might inspire some last-minute shoppers, or even inspire any of you to add some more things onto your own wanted lists.

It might also help anyone who's stuck on what to buy me, as I would love any of these gifts personally (cheeky hint!)...

Lingerie Love

I've always had a bit of a thing for buying nice undies. I'm not sure why. I guess it just makes you feel feminine and sexy, which is never a bad thing.
We've been doing a broadcasting project at uni about how the recession has affected underwear sales. Apparently more people are investing in nights in rather than nights out, so are buying more lingerie (and Dominoes pizza apparently?).
Agent Provocateur and Elle McPherson's line have seen increased sales since the recession began.
Anyhows, I thought I'd have a look around for some pretty knickers and such and share some of my favourite finds with you all.
Enjoy :)

Two major colour trends that are unavoidable this season are Orange and Nude. There are many variations, from burnt orange to coral, peach to beige, cream to stone, and thankfully the ever wonderful British high-street has caught onto this trend so we can all invest in our summer wardrobes without paying silly prices.
