Sun is Shining

The weather over the past two days has been beautiful here in London. After a whole week of rain I thought there would be no end - winter really depresses me - but the sky is clear and the sun is shining.

Sunny days have the ability to dramatically change my mood for the whole day, even if it's still ice cold, but today it is so warm. I wanted to shed my coat when I walked an extra 30-40mins home than usual by getting off the tube a few stops earlier to enjoy the heat while it lasts, which I don't think will be long.

Anyway I've been collecting some images for a couple of months now in a folder named 'Summer Time' to post on here, and now I think it's finally perfectly acceptable to start looking to the start of summer, even if layering is still necessary for the next month or so...

I really hope I get to go to a beautiful beach at some point this year, though I guess the poolside in Marrakech won't be anything to complain about. Unfortunately, my hometown of Cleethorpes doesn't quite cut it.

Highlighted Hairstyles in 2010

Highlighted Hairstyles in 2010

I keep seeing a trend among celebrities and women every time I turn on the TV: short to medium hairstyles with subtle highlights. It makes me feel good that I’m in style (except for the subtle highlights part) because I keep my hair short ritually. I’m one of those women a short hairstyle looks good on. My head is apple-shaped (I’m not kidding; my nickname was “Applehead” growing up) so my hair style is flat, and my bangs are cut so that they’re always side swept. The left side of my hair is longer than the right, but both sides are kept flat to my ears and the sides of my face. Sounds crazy, but it looks stunning. If I do say so myself.

I love it, but you’ll probably never see anyone on the red carpet wearing it. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, as I don’t want a million clones of my haircut walking around. And you probably don’t either. So while I’ll let you in on the highlighted hairstyles of this year, I want you to take a chance and personalize it to you.

Short cuts are in, of course. The great thing about short hair is that you can play with it. You might think it’s stuck in that particular style, but it’s not. When I first got my hair cut it was super short, almost boyish in length. But it’s grown out in that exact same style and now it looks better with some length to it. If you get your hair cut short, and are unhappy with it, remember that it’s just hair. It’ll grow back.

No one said you had to keep a short haircut either. You can always grow it out to shoulder length. Medium hair-length is all the rage this year, because it’s just so easy to maintain and take care of, and can be worn in any style you choose. Remember, the key to personalizing it is making it your own, so talk to your stylist about what you want done, and enjoy your new hairstyle.

Summer Cute Chic Hairstyles for Short Hair

One of the most important factors that determine whether a woman is looking and feeling good is her hair. For any woman, her hair is her crowning glory. Many women with short hair often feel that there is not much they can do with it, to make them look stylish and chic. But, it is not so. Just as with long haircuts, short hair can also be styled to look great.

Trand Hairstyles Kristen Stewart French Twist Updo

Kristen Stewart looked classy and beautiful at the New York City premiere of her new movie The Runaways, based on the real life story of the legendary band of the same name. Kristen looked sexy in a short strapless shiny metallic dress at Landmark Sunshine Cinema.

Kristen's short pinned up hair in (french twist) was very elegant and showed off her sweat heart neckline. Her pop of pink lipstick was the perfect accent to her sequin dress and platform heels. This is a perfect hair style for young girls who want to try new styles with short hair.
