Glossy yet edgy hair, statement cheek bones, big green eyes, a glowing complexion and the token never-ending slim toned legs. Anna Selezneva doesn’t have the usual pale and interesting look like most models; She is a bronzed goddess with an unforgettable facial structure and a rock chick attitude to boot.
The Russian born model is definitely one to watch. Since the 23 year old broke into the modelling scene she has moved up the ladder at great speed. Debuting at Dries Van Noten’s Spring/Summer 2008 show, Anna has since opened Balmain three seasons in a row and walked for Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Valentino among others. On top of this she has starred in numerous Vogue shoots and in ad campaigns for Vera Wang, Calvin Klein and - following the footsteps of Coco Rocha - YSL. I am a huge Coco fan so most models can’t really contend with her, but I think Anna fits the bill with absolute perfection.
With Carine Roitfeld tipping her off as ‘the next Kate Moss’, this girl definitely has some strong backing and a great career ahead of her.
I’ve noticed her in shows in the past - she particularly stood out at Balmain with her golden glow and strong jaw line – but it’s only recently that I have really looked into her and started to follow her career.

The Spring/Summer 2010 shows are looking very promising for this rising model who is finally showing in New York. You can see from the backstage snaps and interviews that she has the personality as well as the pretty face to take her a very long way, with strong wit and a good sense of humour.
The above was a university project to come up with a column of our choice and write an example.
I might make this a regular blog feature?
In the meantime, here's a ton of images to be stunned by....
